The list of selected galleries and spaces for the Abuja Open House 2022.

These galleries have done amazing work and prepared adequately to create a guaranteed civil and cultural interaction. They have that acute awareness that they are not only a place to see and buy art but exist to foster dialogue: to meet and converse. They are places of engagement, learning, education, and mediation.

These select spaces and galleries will be exhibiting contemporary Nigerian art, hybrid conversations, and creative interactions, characterized by exhibitions of contemporary art, photographs, contemporary dance, fashion and lifestyle, gastronomy, Live Art, theatre, and various creative activities.

Opening on the 27th of October, 2022 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, the event commences with curated talks around the creative industry, the roles of cultural workers in today’s society, the pertinent challenges, and how best to direct the growth activities in the Abuja art scene.

This edition will converge new genres of art and connect the trajectories mapped by the last edition in consolidating Abuja as a cosmopolitan destination of art, and art lovers all over the world.

Abuja Open House is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Abuja, Initiated and designed by the International Institute for Creative Development Abuja, and sponsored by Transcorp Hilton Abuja, Fraser Suites, Turkish Embassy, Brazilian Embassy, Moeshen Art Gallery, Jireh Media, French Institute, Turkish Airline, French Institute and Nordic Hotels.

Abuja Open House will be a weekend of Gallery hopping from October 27th to 30th, all selected galleries will open, offering drinks, food, face painting, body art, Live Art experience, an opportunity to connect with other creatives, experience a convergence of amazing art and creative moments as Abuja Art scene comes alive again.
